In recent years, ErgoPharma d.o.o. from Velenje has undertaken significant construction and investment projects to expand its production capacities. The company built a new manufacturing facility for dietary supplements in the Stara vas industrial zone in Velenje, completed at the end of 2024. This facility is part of a broader strategy to establish modern, technologically advanced production, focused on sustainability and Industry 5.0 digitalization. The new plant enables the production of various forms of dietary supplements, expanding the company’s capacities and increasing employment opportunities in the region.

The construction was part of the “Construction of a Production and Development Center” project, running from May 2022 to May 2025. It includes the expansion of existing production capacities at the Gaji 1 site (Celje) and the construction of a new hall in Velenje equipped with high-tech machinery according to BAT guidelines (Best Available Techniques). The total project value is approximately €6.75 million, with funding from the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union via NextGenerationEU; part of the funds was secured through a public tender supporting major investments to increase productivity and competitiveness.

These construction projects have enabled the company to upgrade its technical infrastructure and grow, solidifying Velenje’s position as a hub for the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement industry, while also contributing to the broader economic development of the region.
